Oliver Hicks is soon to be embarking on an astounding expedition that if completed successfully will be a journey for the record books.

Oliver Hicks is going to row solo around the world. Starting his journey travelling east along the 50’ South line of latitude which will take him from New Zealand heading east passing to the south of Cape Horn and then far below the Cape of Good Hope and finally returning to New Zealand about two years later.

This will be the longest ever solo row taking on three of the major oceans; the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Ocean.

This journey is packed with excitement, amazing wildlife, extreme weather conditions, scientific and medical data and Ollie Hicks - a remarkable person setting himself a massive challenge.

As well as all of this the aim is to also raise £1,000,000 for charity and highlight the effects of global warming.

So with all of this to consider and conquer it is not surprising the Foam Shop was chosen to supply and make tailor made cushions for the seating and resting areas for the specially designed rowing boat.

The cushions are evazote foam which is closed cell and water proof, finished in combination of microcare PVC fabrics with webbings and fitted eyelets to secure the cushions for when Oliver hits the rough patches.
